John-8 months!

Baby boy,

You are now 8 months old! I'm not sure on your height and weight since you didn't have a Dr. appointment this month but you are wearing size 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers.

Still quite the little piggy! Your schedule is still bottle, food, bottle, food, bottle. You have 8 ounces of formula in each bottle (with rice cereal or oatmeal added to the bedtime bottle) and eat 2 containers of baby food at each food feeding. I bought you dissolving puffs to try today, so we will see how you like those. Some new things you have tried this month- Cantaloupe (liked), Watermelon (liked), Russet Potatoes (disliked).

You still do your own little military crawl but you get all over the house and are fast so I don't know if you will go to all 4s or not since your version works just fine for you!

A week before turning 8 months your first tooth came in! And today (2 days past turning 8 months) you have the other bottom tooth and one of the top popping through! You are getting them all at once now!

The first week of June you said your first word, da-da! You now have also said ma-ma, baby, and Pa-pa. You say Daddy the most though. You say it when we are skyping with daddy and you say it to your little doll that has daddy's picture on it and his voice recorded. I can tell you miss your daddy very much, but he will be home soon.

Because of all the teeth coming in at once you haven't been your normal self when it comes to sleeping. You have been getting up at night because they are bothering you. Poor boy.

You have started throwing little fits when it is time to put you in your carseat or on your changing table. You get so mad and kick your feet. You don't like not being able to move around freely.

You absolutely love playing peek-a-boo. You laugh hysterically and it is precious.

You are very very busy, you keep me movin'!

We just love you so much and you have the best personality!
