John- 12 months

Munchkin,

You are a whole year old! Part of me cannot believe you are already a year old and another part cannot believe you have only been in our lives for a year. This has been one awesome year watching you grow!

You are in some 12 month and some 18 month clothes and a size 5.5/6 in shoes. Weighing in at 23lbs 6 oz and 32 1/4 in tall! That is the 100th percentile for height and 75th for weight. Tall boy!

Still such a good eater, you will eat pretty much anything.

You have started dancing this month and everytime you do I think my heart is going to explode from the cuteness overload! You are constantly dancing... to your toys, to music, the tv, and sometimes just because. It is my new favorite thing that you do!

You also frequently clap, point, and wave. Everytime you see a ceiling fan you point to it and make a circular motion (GG taught you this).

Not walking yet, you don't seem too interested in it. You walk great with us holding your hands and do pretty well with us just holding 1 of your hands, but do not seem to want to do it on your own yet.

You are quite the little climber and daredevil. You climb on everything and are always trying to jump off the bed or couch...you think it's funny! You got a slide for the backyard for your birthday and you have already figured out how to climb up the stairs. You love going down the slide and you also still love your swing in the backyard too. You love to be outside, you will point to the door when we are outside and try to reach the doorknob to go outside. And when we are outside and come back inside you aren't very happy about it.

You are obsessed with anything with wheels, big or small! You love to pretend to drive.

You are starting to really know what we are saying. We can tell you to dance or clap and you will do it, before you would copy us but now I can really see you are starting to know what we are talking about.

You definitely have a good sense of humor, always laughing!

You are a biter! You think that is funny too...we are working on that.

When you get tired you will lay your head on us to cuddle and it is so sweet. Most the time you are on the go but when you start to get tired you like to be cuddled.

Some days you are still taking your two naps, others you just take one nap. I just kind of go by you and what we are doing that day.

You have brought so much joy to our lives this last year and have been such a blessing to us! We love you!
