San Diego

We had a great time this weekend in San Diego w/ our good friends the Finleys! We had heard that active duty military and their family gets in free to Sea World, so we wanted to take advantage of that. Any military out there should check it out! There are a few other places that offer free admission as well, if you're interested, check it out here:
http://herosalute.com. It really is a great deal, I could not believe that admission to Sea World is now $69 for adults, craziness!

Friday we drove out and got to Jack's Aunt & Uncle's house where we stayed (Thanks for the warm hospitality Aunt Laura & Uncle Winn!) And they were so sweet, they had dinner ready for us. So we had a delicious dinner after our long drive and visited a bit. Then we all headed out to Ocean Beach to catch the sunset. Unfortunately do to traffic and the marine layer we were unable to make it onto the beach to see the sunset. But we did get to walk the pier and walk through the little town down there.

Saturday we got up and headed to Sea World! It was pretty crowded, but we still had a really great time. We saw the Shamu show, checked out the sharks, and petted the sting-ray (along with a bunch of other stuff). We were surprised at how it was a little chilly outside at first but it warmed up quickly and ended up being the perfect temp. After Sea world we went out to Sea food...well, everyone else had sea food, I stuck with a cheeseburger as seafood isn't my thing. Lastly, we went back to Aunt & Uncle's house and the boys played some old school video games as Sirena & I played some fooseball! Great day!

Sunday we headed over to La Jolla Shores Beach and did some body boarding. Again, it was pretty chilly again but it warmed up a bit and we braved the freezing water and got used to it quickly. After that we had some lunch and headed back on our journey home. Great Weekend with some great friends! For some reason blogger isn't allowing me to post pics right now, so I guess I will try again tomorrow
